Welcome to Hope on the Danforth!

We are an inclusive community of faith at Main and Danforth.

All are welcome, and we look forward to meeting you!

Our next Sunday service will be Sunday, May 4th at 11:00am. You can join us online on You Tube.

We thank Kirsten who has volunteered her time to lead yoga classes for the past couple of months. This program has now come to a close.

You are invited to our April Messy Church on Wednesday, April 30th, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Our theme is “Echo Music”. Mark Sepic will be our special guest to lead us in the making of musical instruments from recycled materials. There will be activities, a story, music and a meal.

Our Seniors & Community Lunch n’ Learn Series continues on Thursday May 1st at 12:30pm.

The spring semester of the Danforth Children’s Village Choir is here! The next rehearsals is on Thursday, May 1st at 4:15pm. This is a community children’s choir for ages 7-13. The tuition fee is $200 per semester. Please email danforthvillagechildrenschoir@gmail.com to register.

Hope will host a Community Dance featuring the 10 piece Big Band, Uptown Swing Band on Saturday, May 3rd from 8:00pm-11:00pm. There will be a canteen. Tickets are $20 per person. Tickets can also be purchased online here for $22.63 per person. This event is a fundraiser for our Let Your Light Shine campaign, in support of our stained glass windows restoration.

Let Your Light Shine

On November 19th, 2023, Hope United officially launched “Let Your Light Shine”, Stewardship Campaign with the goal of raising $100,000 to repair, restore and renovate our windows. The restoration and upgrade of our windows is a vital part of the building envelope that will improve our energy efficiency and reduce our carbon footprint.  As well, our overall aim is to ensure that our building, and sacred space, are here for our congregation and the many community organizations we serve in the years to come. Our campaign currently sits at $25,000, with a substantial boost in January, 2024 of $20,000 from the Faithful Footprints Program of the United Church of Canada.
