We’ve recently had a new minister join our team. HyeLim Yoon is a 5th year Ph.D. candidate pursuing a doctorate in Homiletics and Practical Theology at Emmanuel College. After serving in United Methodist Church for several years, she joined the United Church in 2022 when she moved to Toronto, Canada. HyeLim is now a candidate for ordained ministry in the United Church. Between leading worship with Hope United and teaching at Emmanuel College, she enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and watching Korean Dramas.
HyeLim is available to provide pastoral support between 10:30am-4:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please call or email the church office to schedule an appointment.
Our Seniors & Community Lunch ’n Learn program is now on a summer hiatus. Thank you to our volunteers and attendees! We look forward to seeing you in September!
Let Your Light Shine
Hope United’s “Let Your Light Shine”, a Stewardship Campaign with the goal of raising $100,000 to repair, restore and renovate our windows. The restoration and upgrade of our windows is a vital part of the building envelope that will improve our energy efficiency and reduce our carbon footprint. As well, our overall aim is to ensure that our building, and sacred space, are here for our congregation and the many community organizations we serve in the years to come. Our campaign currently sits at $25,000, with a substantial boost in January, 2024 of $20,000 from the Faithful Footprints Program of the United Church of Canada.
